Hasberg is a district of the municipality of Kirchheim in Swabia in the Unterallgäu district . The village with over 400 inhabitants is located on a ridge on the Mindel opposite Kirchheim.
history
The first documented mention of the Habichtsburg near Hasberg is from 1150, while the village of Hasberg is mentioned for the first time in 1197. In 1295, Margrave Heinrich von Burgau sold Hasberg, Winzer and Pfaffenhausen to the Augsburg Bishop Wolfhard von Roth . After that, Hasberg was pledged to the knights of Mindelberg and Freiberg from 1391 to 1488.
During the Thirty Years' War , 180 Hasbergers and thus more than half of the 300 inhabitants at that time fell victim to war and plague. After all, in 1650 only 32 of the previous 60 properties were still inhabited, the rest of the houses had been destroyed. Hasberg recovered slowly by 1753 and consisted of 63 properties.
Until 1978 Hasberg was an independent municipality in the district of Krumbach (Swabia) , before the regional reform of Kirchheim in Swabia came into the newly formed district of Unterallgäu .
