Hasenbergschanze is a ski jumping hill built by WSV Isny ​​in 1924 in Großholzleute , a suburb of Isny im Allgäu in Baden-Württemberg .

History and location

The Hasenbergschanze is located southeast below the 821  m above sea level. NN m high Hasenberg. The run-out zone of the ski jump is located above the Langenfeldhof residential area and can be reached via the road from Großholzleute to Kleinweiler . In the pre-war period, the ski jumping facility was operated together with the Leutkirch ski guild in Allgäu. The ski jumping facilities have a mat covering and are illuminated by a floodlight system . The ski jump is a base of the Swabian Ski Association .

In a period from 2007 to 2012, the ski jumping facility was renovated for 473,000 euros, according to a list of the WSV Isny. 70% of the costs were borne by the Württemberg State Sports Association , the rest by the city.

The ski jumping team of the WSV Isny ​​im Allgäu, which operates the ski jump, had twenty-four active jumpers in 2011, including two girls.

Predecessor of the Hasenbergschanze

As early as 1922 there was the Schwabenschanze on the Salmaser Höhe in today's Oberallgäu district for a few years . Then in 1926, the Iberg-Schanze was built near Riedholz, a suburb of Maierhöfen in the Lindau district . Jumps of up to 50 m were possible on it. During the Second World War there was the Dinkelackerschanze in today's ski area near the Felderhalle . In 1972 the Fluckenschanze K40 was built at the Flucken lifts near the Iberg-Schanze .

On February 13, 1949, the German championships of the western zones in ski jumping took place on the Iberg-Schanze . In 1958, 1969 and 1980 the German championships were also held there. 1958 Georg Thoma won the championships.
