Hassan Moustafa ( Arabic حسن مصطفى, DMG Ḥasan Muṣṭafā ; * 1944 ) is a sports scientist and handball official from Egypt . He has been President of the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 2000 .

Moustafa studied in Leipzig and was an active handball player on the Egyptian national handball team . He was then President of the Egyptian Handball Federation and head of the Organizing Committee of the 1999 Men's Handball World Championship before he was elected President of the IHF at the IHF Congress in Estoril at the end of November 2000 . In June 2009 he was re-elected in Cairo for another four years; 115 members of the IHF voted for him, 25 for his opponent Jean Kaiser . In 2013 he was re-elected for four years without a candidate.

The Basel-Stadt public prosecutor's office investigated Moustafa on suspicion of infidelity.

Moustafa is also criticized for his involvement ( confirmed by CAS ) in various match- fixing within the scope of the 2008 Olympic qualification in Asia .
