Hastra skyscraper
The Hastra administration in Hanover forms part of the former administration building of Hanover-Braunschweigische Stromversorgungs AG, or Hastra for short . The complex with the high-rise can be found at Humboldtstraße 33 in the Hanover district of Calenberger Neustadt .
History and description
The building was erected in 1960 according to plans by the architects Otto Dellemann , Georg Seewald and Gustav Wulff .
In the following year, 1961, Hastra moved its headquarters from Marienstraße 34/36 to the new building on Humboldtstraße, where it operated until 1999. At the beginning of the 21st century, the address at number 33 became the headquarters of E.ON IS GmbH. Currently (as of December 2019) the building is used by the authorities and the IT.Niedersachsen regional office.
In the neighboring building, Humboldtstrasse 32, the Museum of Energy Stories presents its exhibits.
