Hauderer Strasse

Haudererstraße is the historical name of the old commercial street leading on the left bank of the Danube from Linz an der Donau via Steyregg , Pulgarn , St. Georgen an der Gusen , Langenstein , Mauthausen , Perg and Grein to the Wachau and further to Vienna in the lower Mühlviertel .

Surname

The name is derived from the now outdated German term Hauderer .

history

The Hauderer Street was built in 1501-1519 and led originally Naarn . From 1524, with the relocation of the fair from Naarn to Perg and due to the increasing importance of the Perg market, traffic from Mauthausen to Grein was increasingly directed via Perg.

The street represented one of the most important west-east connections of the Mühlviertel. In 1785 it served as one of the post and commercial streets . In 1930, responsibility for maintaining Hauderer Bezirksstrasse was transferred to the state of Upper Austria . After the end of the Second World War , the name Haudererstraße was replaced by Bundesstraße 3 Donau Straße , which connects Linz with Vienna on a route north of the Danube. Between Linz- Plesching and Gusen , the old parts of the road are led as L569  Pleschinger Straße , here the B3 leads through the eye area as an upgraded route.
