House Friedeborn

description

House Friedeborn in front of House Hermannsberg and the outbuilding to Landhaus Richard Lange

The former winegrower's house with extension is now a listed building . The older core building with its half- hip roof faces the street at the gable end . This part has a cellar, and a smaller vaulted concrete barrel is followed by a larger main barrel , which formerly served as a wine cellar , which can be seen in the sandstone wine barrel supports that are still in place. There is also an old ventilation shaft, which should end below today's level, which is probably around 80 centimeters higher.

The annex, set back from the street and set on the right, has a simple gable roof . It can only be reached via a staircase from the main building, which was therefore presumably an external access staircase before the extension was built.

The ground floor of both structures is massive, the upper floor consists of half-timbered structures . All facades are plastered.

The windows, which were designed as box windows according to photos from 1964, are renewed today. A former access door in the eastern front of the extension was converted into a window. The folding shutters that still existed in 1964 have now disappeared, as have the trellises. Today's front door, originally an interior door, has been preserved in its original form. The floor of the first floor is covered with old sandstone slabs.

history

According to the Radebeul house index, the chief accountant Rüger completed the main building around 1780. The examination of a window from the south facade reveals a date to the year 1792, which roughly limits the construction period of the building. In 1840 the building was given a cellar and in 1860 the widowed Luise von Pfitzner had the extension extending at right angles to the east added. This was first created as a single-storey structure, which was extended in 1866.

From 1856 to 1972 the property was owned by several generations of the Sommer family; Since then, the house has also been owned by an owner who has renovated it and restored it to its current state.
