House Nosthausen
Haus Nosthausen , formerly also Haus Osthausen, Haus Oysthusen was a manor in the parish of Eickel , today Herne (formerly Bochum office ) on the border with Hofstede , Bochum . It was located northwest of the village of Riemke .
The Aschenbruchs were first mentioned in 1308. In 1345 Rutger von Dorneburg called himself Aschebrock. In 1350 he gave his house to the Count von der Mark as a fief, his son's name was Johannes. The von Aschenbruch (Aschebroich) family went bankrupt in 1663. Around 1842 the estate had a size of around 100 hectares. To the north of the manor house was the mill on the Dorneburger Bach and was driven by it. In Herne, Mühlenstraße is reminiscent of the former mill on the estate.
In the 18th century, the Löns family, ancestors of Hermann Löns , managed the estate and later leased it. Löns mill is still preserved from this time. The first mining fields of the Hannibal colliery were called Nosthausen 1 and Nosthausen 2, parts of the colliery were built on the former lands. Today, the "Allotment Gardeners Association on the green ring" and two industrial companies are based on the premises of the Nosthausen house.
