Entrance to the Jewish cemetery and house at the Jewish cemetery (2015)

The house at the Jewish cemetery is located at Judenberg 24 in Laupheim , a town in the Biberach district ( Baden-Württemberg ).

The building at the entrance to the Jewish cemetery was built in 1907 as a mortuary and home for the cemetery attendant. After the renovation in 2014, a branch of the Museum of the History of Christians and Jews was established in the building . The exhibition was developed by the House of History Baden-Württemberg . On the ground floor, a film shows the funeral system of the Jewish burial brotherhood Chewra Kadischa and on the upper floor the history of the Jewish cemetery in Laupheim from the beginnings in the 18th century to the present is presented in an exhibition.

During the renovation of the building, emphasis was placed on preserving the former use as a Tahara house in an architecturally visible way.
