Hausmannsturm
As Hausmann storms are called castle, palace or church towers in which watchman's offices or apartments for the home or towers were, who oversaw the city or the surrounding areas of the castle from above. Hausmannsstuben were built in the 16th century and were usually located at the highest point in the city or in the highest tower of a castle.
The housekeepers were often part of the town watch and had the task of ringing the hour bells, often also at night to signal the quarter hours with the horn, to announce enemies and to warn of fire and danger. The last housemen left their posts in the tower rooms at the beginning of the 20th century, but there are still a few active tower keepers.
