The Haval H1 (formerly also Great Wall Haval M4 or Great Wall M4 ) is a car of the Haval brand belonging to Great Wall . It is a small SUV that the manufacturer places between the Haval M1 and Haval M2 models . In contrast to these, however, it was not fully assigned to the Haval sub-brand until 2013 , when this name and logo replaced Great Wall ; instead, Haval was only seen here as an addition to the model name.
history
After the presentation at the Shanghai Auto Show 2012, the Tengyi Florid- based Haval M4 was offered on the Chinese market from May 23, 2012. Contrary to repeated rumors that a 1.3-liter engine would be introduced, Great Wall only offers an engine in the form of a gasoline engine with 1.5-liter displacement and VVT . This is called GW4G15 and is an in-house development of the Chinese manufacturer, but has great similarities to Toyota's 1NZ-FE. As standard, the engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and drives the front wheels. By the end of 2012, Great Wall had sold nearly 50,000 Haval M4s in China.
In September 2013, the manufacturer began exporting the M4, initially doing without the Haval sub-brand. The model was then successively introduced in eleven national markets, including South Africa, Malaysia, Russia and Uruguay.
A facelift was planned for the second half of 2014.
