Havana is a song by the Cuban - US singer Camila Cabello in collaboration with the US rapper Young Thug . It was released as the promo single of their debut album Camila on August 3, 2017, confirmed as a single on the album on August 30, and released as a single on September 8. Havana was a number one hit in many countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States . The song originally published as a promo single replaced the original lead single from Cabello's debut album Camila , Crying in the Club , due to its great success.

Cabello appeared with the song on American television, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Today Show . Another important appearance took place at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2017 , where Cabello was recognized for best pop act.

Numerous covers and remixes of this song have been released. A version by YouTuber Maestro Ziikos , in which the song is sung by Donald Trump using Auto-Tune , received special attention (over 100 million views).
