Haworthia angustifolia is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodil family (Asphodeloideae).

description

Haworthia angustifolia grows stemless and sprouts. The 10 to 40 upright, lanceolate, pointed, thin and somewhat slack leaves form a rosette with a diameter of up to 4 centimeters. The brownish to dark green leaf blade is up to 10 centimeters long and 1 centimeter wide. The leaf margins and the leaf keel are finely serrated.

The loose inflorescence reaches a length of up to 20 centimeters and consists of eight to ten flowers . The flowers are white to matt pinkish white.

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia angustifolia is widespread in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.

The first description by Adrian Hardy Haworth was published in 1825. There are numerous synonyms .

A distinction is made between the following varieties :

  • Haworthia angustifolia var. Baylissii (CLScott) MBBayer
