Hayati Palancı (born October 27, 1967 in Malatya ) is a former Turkish football player and current coach .
Career
As a player
Palancı played several years for Konyaspor and Malatyaspor alternately in the first and second division and was a regular player in both clubs. During his engagement for Malatyaspor he was captain. His only goal as a professional, he scored on May 7, 2000 in a league game against Ağrıspor .
As a trainer
He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the side of Ziya Doğan , with whom he coached Malatyaspor, Trabzonspor and Gençlerbirliği Ankara . In 2005 he returned to Malatyaspor, again with Ziya Doğan. After Malatyaspor's relegation in the 2005/06 season , he briefly took over the post of head coach for the first time in his career.
On November 17, 2006, he signed a contract with Fatih Karagümrük SK and coached the traditional club for almost two and a half years with moderate success. He then worked briefly again for Malatyaspor, but resigned after nine games without a win and apologized for the poor performance of Malatyaspor under him.
In mid-2015, Palancı signed with Izmirspor and stated promotion as his goal, and he would also like to encourage more youth players. In 2016 he left the club in the direction of Dersimspor .
