Hayden Vernon Foxe (born June 23, 1977 in Sydney ) is a former Australian football player .

Career

society

Foxe was trained at the Australian Institute of Sport , a talent factory . From there he moved to Europe, to Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands . At Ajax he never got a chance on the professional team. In 1997 he moved to the neighboring country, to Germany. Here he slipped into Arminia Bielefeld's jersey . On matchday 12, the 1997/98 season , he made his debut in the Bundesliga , he was substituted on by coach Ernst Middendorp in the 78th minute of the game. In the further course of the season Foxe did not get a chance, then he moved to Japan, in the J. League Division 1 . There he played 45 games for his employer Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 2000 he returned to Europe and played in Belgium and England, for West Ham United , KV Mechelen , Portsmouth FC and Leeds United . In 2007 he returned to his homeland, Australia and played for Perth Glory and Sydney FC , where he retired as a player in 2011.

National team

Foxe has already been used in Australia's underground teams. With the U-23 he took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics. But already in the preliminary round after three defeats from the football competition . For the national team of Australia he played eleven games.
