Head Over Heels is a 2012 British animated short film directed by Timothy Reckart .

action

The married couple Madge and Walter have grown apart over the years. You live in a house, but he lives on the floor while she lives on the ceiling. If she drops something, it falls on Walter. The refrigerator has two doors and is always sullenly pulled up or down by both, while each one claims the wedding photo for himself and always turns it around so that it is upside down for the other. They haven't talked to each other in a long time.

One day Walter wants to watch TV while Madge vacuums. In the process, an antenna in the television set goes off, which Walter wants to repair. In the storeroom where his tools are stored, he finds a pair of worn ballet shoes that Madge wore to their wedding. He affectionately repairs the shoes and wants to give them to Madge, but she pushes the shoe box away from her. There is a dispute between the couple, the wedding picture breaks and in the end the house, which was previously floating in the air, lands rudely on the ground. It turned so that Madge now lives on the floor while Walter stands on the ceiling. Madge leaves the house and explores the area. Walter also wants to go out of the house, but is almost pulled out of the house into heaven. He ties himself to his chair, which only results in him floating upside down in the air like a balloon. He falls asleep. After a while, Madge returns to the house and finds the shoebox she threw away. She realizes that Walter still loves her and makes a plan. She nailed many of her pairs of shoes to the ceiling. Walter wakes up to the noise of work and returns to the ceiling in the house. Here Madge swings into her shoes and is also held against the ceiling. After hesitantly shaking hands, Madge and Walter embrace.
