Remarks

  1. Europeana writes her name Hedwig Arendt-Gimmer . In Eisenberg's lexicon mentioned under literature, however, there is clearly Simmer ( Textarchiv - Internet Archive ), a comparison with the word Schieferdeckermeisters shortly after it allows a clear conclusion to the S. The book is printed in fracture . It is similar Fraktur letter S.pngto today's G. The spelling Gimmer is therefore likely to be a transliteration error . The name is therefore not given as an alternative spelling.
