Hedwig von Münsterberg-Oels
Hedwig von Münsterberg-Oels (born June 10 or 12, 1508 in Oels ; † November 28, 1531 in Liegnitz ) was by birth Duchess of Münsterberg and Oels and Countess of Glatz and by marriage Margravine of Brandenburg-Ansbach .
Hedwig was a daughter of Duke Karl I of Münsterberg , who was a grandson of the Bohemian King George of Podebrady . Her mother was Anna, a daughter of the last Duke of Sagan , Johann II.
On January 9, 1525, Hedwig married Margrave Georg the Pious in Oels . She was Georg's second wife. The marriage resulted in two daughters:
- Anna Maria (1526–1589)
- ⚭ 1544 Duke Christoph von Württemberg (1515–1568)
- Sabine (1529-1575)
- ⚭ 1548 Elector Johann Georg von Brandenburg (1525–1598)
Hedwig died in Liegnitz, where she was also buried.
