The house at Hegelstraße 41 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt . It houses parts of the State Chancellery of Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the east side of Hegelstrasse in a corner at the confluence of Bürgelstrasse in Magdeburg's old town . The house is adjacent to Hegelstrasse 40 to the south .

Architecture and history

The three and a half-story plastered house was completed in 1890 by the master mason and carpenter Gose for the client Meyer. The facades are designed in the neo-renaissance style. The facade is rusticated on the ground floor . Both to the north to Bürgelstrasse and to the west to Hegelstrasse and directly on the corner are three-storey bay windows placed in front of the facade . The northern bay window is polygonal , the western one with rounded corners. The corner bay window has an arched window on its ground floor. The outer edges of the building and the corner are emphasized with flat risalits .

There is a front garden in front of the house .

As part of the largely preserved Wilhelminian style street, the building is significant in terms of urban planning.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 16684 .
