Hegnenbach is a parish village and part of the Altenmünster community in the Swabian district of Augsburg in Bavaria ( Germany ).
history
Until the regional reform in Bavaria on July 1, 1972, the independent municipality of Hegnenbach with its districts Lüftenberg and Rischgau with Wiesmühle belonged to the Wertingen district office , which was called the Wertingen district from 1939 . In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria, Hegnenbach was added to the Augsburg district on July 1, 1972 (initially called the Augsburg-West district ). On May 1, 1978 it was incorporated into the Altenmünster community. Rischgau and Wiesmühle came to Villenbach .
The Catholic parish Sankt Georg in Hegnenbach belongs to the parish community Altenmünster / Violau in the deanery Augsburg-Land in the diocese of Augsburg . Lüftenberg and the Hausenmühle also belong to the parish .
