Heide Seidel

Heide Sabine Seidel (born June 13, 1943 in Zwickau ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Saxon state parliament between 1994 and 1999 .

Life

Heide Seidel attended EOS in Wilkau-Haßlau , where she graduated from high school in 1962. She then studied medicine at the University of Leipzig, followed by vocational training and a degree at the Kirchberg district hospital from 1965 to 1969 . She passed her state examination and diploma at the Zwickau / Karl-Marx-Stadt district education center . From 1969 to 1986 Seidel was employed at SDAG Wismut . Between 1969 and 1974 she worked in the field of radiation research, and between 1976 and 1986 in the health sector. From 1986 to 1991 she worked as laboratory manager and also in the beverage combination (GK) Karl-Marx-Stadt.

Seidel is divorced and has a daughter.

Between 1991 and 1994, Heide Seidel was a member of parliament and head of the Wilkau-Haßlau constituency office (Zwickau-Land). In December 1989 she was a founding member of the SPD Zwickau. From 1990 to 1992 she was the second spokeswoman and representative of the SPD at the round table in the district of Zwickau and chairwoman of the subdistrict. From 1990 to 1994 she was a member of the SPD district executive and parliamentary group leader in the Zwickau district assembly. From August 1994 Seidel was parliamentary group leader in the Zwickauer Land district council . There she was a member of the council of elders.

She was also a member of the supervisory board of the housing company Zwickauer Land mbH as well as a shareholder and on the supervisory board of Sachsenpost Verlag GmbH in Zwickau / Hof. In addition, she was the chairwoman of the Zwickau und Umgebung e. V. as well as member of the state advisory board for animal welfare and co-opted member of the Saxon animal welfare association.

In October 1994, Ms. Seidel entered the Saxon state parliament via the state list of the SPD Saxony , to which she belonged for an electoral period until 1999. There she was a member of the Home Affairs Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunity Matters.
