history

Until 1768 Heidehäuser consisted only of a sheep farm in the Lichtensee corridor.

The partially row-like group of houses belonged to the Mühlberg office in 1791 . The basic rule at that time exercised the manor Fichtenberg out. In 1816 the place belonged to the Oschatz office . Later the sheep farm belonged to the Kreinitz manor . In 1834 the group of houses formed an independent community with 24 inhabitants. Around 1840, Heidehäuser consisted of four houses and a forester's house, which arose from the sheep farm. Three of these houses were built in 1768, 1794 and 1802 and were all built on manor land. The place was parish to Lichtensee and the eleven school children also went to school there, despite belonging to Kreinitz. The court lord was the owner of the Kreinitz manor, Christoph Hanns von Egidy . Between 1856 and 1875, Heidehäuser belonged to the Grossenhain court office , and then to the Grossenhain administration . In 1858 Heidehäuser was incorporated into Lichtensee. In 1871 the population had risen to 35. The Forestry Office of the Gohrischheide Forest District was relocated from Gohrisch to Heidehäuser after 1892 , as this place had to be cleared as part of the expansion of the Zeithain military training area . In 1952 the place became part of the Riesa district, which was formed from the administrative authority of Großenhain . In 1994, the district of Riesa became part of the newly formed district of Riesa-Großenhain , which on August 1, 2008, became part of the new district of Meißen formed by the Saxony district reform in 2008 . Heidehäuser has been part of the Streumen parish since 2001.

Infrastructure

On the site of the former forester's house there is a modern home for disabled children, young people and adults. There is also an inn in the village.
