philosophy

For Bennent-Vahle, philosophizing is a contribution to improving interpersonal culture. She assumes that thinking and feelings belong together. She describes the feelings as the 'elixir of the spirit'. They reflect human judgments about life issues and social values emerge from them. The feelings are therefore 'the heart of ethics'. Philosophical thinking or reflection has to work together with feeling if people want to be happy. Philosophical thinking enables you to 'explore your own situation', distance yourself and discover new perspectives and options for action. The most important thing is how people 'let philosophizing flow' into their lives.

Bennent-Vahle's 'philosophical advisory practice' is therefore about 'existential philosophizing', as Sören Kierkegaard and Martin Buber , among others , have done. Bennent-Vahle believes that the need for 'philosophical practice' will increase. The professional world is making ever more extensive demands. People “tend to exploit themselves beyond their own strength.” That makes it necessary to think.
