The Heidemuseum Rischmannshof is an open-air museum in Walsrode .

history

Rischmannshof was opened in 1912 as one of the first open-air museums in Germany. The museum consists of a rural courtyard with outbuildings and branches. The core of the system is a thatched hall house ( two-tier house ) from 1798. This originally stood in Hartem near Fallingbostel and was rebuilt in Walsrode. Furthermore, the system includes an out Fulde derived, for example the house of a same age Häuslings and a bee fence . A stair store from Oberndorfmark dates back to 1669. Only later was the facility added by a bakery from 1752 and a half-timbered barn with a workshop from 1842.

A branch of the museum is located in the former village school from 1900 in Klein Eilstorf .

Exhibitions

The main building in the construction of the Fachhallenhaus has on the ground floor the traditional division into dönzen (living rooms), flett with fireplace and hall with stables. The atmosphere of a typical heather farmhouse with appropriate furniture and equipment is recreated here. On the upper floor of the building there is a Brüggemann exhibition, a section on the history of the city of Walsrode and the Hermann Löns room. In the Löns room, the poet and writer's original utensils and furniture as well as first editions of his works, some autographs and publications are on display.
