Widmer mainly took part in the Nor-Am Cup from 2007 to 2015. She took six wins and came second in the overall ranking in the 2013/14 season . Her first World Cup race was in Canmore in January 2008 , which she finished in 55th place in the sprint. At the Canadian Cross Country Ski Championships in 2013, she won bronze twice. Her best result at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi was 43rd place in the sprint. At the Canadian Cross Country Ski Championships in 2014, she won gold in the 10 km freestyle. It will start for Switzerland from the 2015/16 season. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she scored her first World Cup point in Davos with 30th place in the sprint. In January 2016, she came back in the points in the World Cup in Planica with 29th place in the sprint.
