Heidrun Laudel

Heidrun Laudel (born July 25, 1941 in Leipzig ; † April 29, 2014 in Dresden ) was a German architectural historian and university professor. She was a lecturer in building history at the Technical University of Dresden .

Life

After studying architecture , Heidrun Laudel got a job at Giebichenstein Castle in Halle (Saale) . She then moved to Dresden, where she worked in the field of urban planning, but then worked on the architectural theory of the 19th century at the Technical University under Kurt Milde . In 1973 she completed her doctorate there with the dissertation A Basic Concepts of Architecture Theory . After successfully completing his habilitation (dissertation B), Heidrun Laudel was a lecturer in building history at the TU Dresden from 1985 until the age of 60. From 1992 she was self-employed in the field of monument preservation and building research. During this time, the complete catalog of Gottfried Semper's artistic work was created as part of a funded DFG project .

From 1996 she gave courses at the Volkshochschule in Dresden.

On October 17, 2014, a commemoration ceremony took place in the hall of the Dresden City Museum .
