Heilmannshausen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heilmannshausen (also: Wikramshausen ) is the name of a deserted village near Hanau in the Main-Kinzig district in Hesse. The settlement is located at the Lamboy Bridge over the Kinzig on the way to the small Bulau .

The area around Hanau when the Neustadt was founded in 1597.

It is very likely that the first mention of a document from the year 815, which names the place Egihelmeshus prope transitum fluvii Chinzicha . It is not entirely certain whether the place is identical to another deserted area in the Hanau urban area called Helwigshausen . The Hanau historian and archivist Johann Adam Bernhard suspected Helwigshausen to be near Rosenau, west of Hanau. Ernst Julius Zimmermann considered both places to be identical.

The residents lived in several individual courtyards. A brick yard in Heylmanshusen is mentioned in a document of the Hanau presence from 1436 , which gives an indication of the economic basis of the place. 1439 is documented that the village had its own shepherd. A decline can be seen as early as the 16th century. Count Balthasar von Hanau-Münzenberg bought the last remaining court riders in 1530 and added them to the lordly teaching yard .
