Heilsberg is an uninhabited district of the Wiesent community in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg in eastern Bavaria .

Geography and transport links

The place is north of the core town Wiesent am Höllbach . The R 42 runs to the west. The nearest town is Wörth an der Donau , about four kilometers to the east.

history

Heilsberg is likely to be the oldest town in the former Dietersweg community. The story is closely related to the castle of the same name.

The Heilsberger Mühle , which already existed in 1435, is important as a district. The miller from Heilsberg is mentioned as early as 1681, further descendants appear in documents and documents until 1828 without gaps. In 1889 the property was handed over to a Dietersweger, he was the last owner of the Heilsbergermühle. In 1911 the property was sold to the Prince of Thurn und Taxis , the mill was subsequently demolished and the water power was used to operate an electricity station.

Heilsberg was until the end of 1971 a district of the former Dietersweg community , which was fully incorporated into Wiesent on January 1, 1972.
