Hermannsöd is a wasteland and district of the Wiesent community in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg in Eastern Bavaria .

Geography and transport links

The place is north of the core town of Wiesent on the northern municipality border. District road R 42 runs not far to the west . State road  2125 and federal motorway 3 run further south . The closest city is Wörth an der Donau , about five kilometers southeast.

history

Hermannsöd has been part of the Frauenzell parish since 1869 . The earliest naming of a resident is likely to have been made in 1685 through a donation to the Wiesent parish.

In the list of architectural monuments in Wiesent , two architectural monuments are listed for Hermannsöd :

• The farmhouse (Hermannsöd 1) from the beginning of the 19th century is a single - storey half-hipped roof building with a shingled gable and hip foot.
• The small farm (Hermannsöd 2), a former residential stable , is a single-storey saddle roof building with a dwarf house and a new block construction - knee floor . That includes
  • a barn , a boarded post construction with a gable roof
  • an oven from the 19th century, a flat saddle roof building with arched arches made of quarry stone masonry and granite
