Heino D. Tripmacker (born July 8, 1931 in Uelzen ; † January 20, 1985 ; full name Heino Dietrich Gert Gustav Tripmacker , called Dieter by friends and family ) was an architecture and landscape painter.

Life

Heino D. Tripmacker was the son of the South African planter Heinrich Carl Dietrich Tripmacker and Erika, nee Bransky. In addition to the South African citizenship , he also had German citizenship . He was married twice, his second marriage to the photographer Brigitte Tripmacker (1936–1992). He had a son from his first marriage and two daughters from his second marriage.

From 1953 Tripmacker worked as a freelance artist and worked as a newspaper illustrator, cartoonist and painter. He was an illustrator for the Adventure Almanac series. Study trips took him to the Netherlands and Switzerland , Scandinavia , North Africa and Canada .

He studied the technique and colors of the old Dutch painters intensively. From 1970 he had his own studio and gallery in Berlin-Wilmersdorf , Wittelsbacher Strasse 19. Until 1985 he had permanent exhibitions in Berlin ; he also had exhibitions in Toronto , Salt Lake City and Japan .

Tripmacker was a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Berlin (BBK) and the Lega degli artisti delle arti figurative .

In many auction houses his works can also be found under the spelling Heino Tripmaker or Tripmaker, Heino D.
