Heinrich Aumund

Heinrich Aumund (born April 10, 1873 in Osterholz , † February 24, 1959 in Homberg ) was a German entrepreneur and university professor.

Life

Aumund studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Hanover , where he graduated with a degree in engineering. His professional activity began in the construction department for conveyor technology at the Julius Pohlig machine factory in Cologne. In 1908 he became a full professor for lifting machines and conveyor systems at the Technical University of Gdansk . In 1921 he was entrusted with the administration of the technical universities in Prussia and the implementation of a university reform. From 1922 to 1935 he was a full professor and director of the Institute for Conveyor Technology at the Technical University of Berlin .

In 1922 Heinrich Aumund founded the Aumund Fördertechnik GmbH and took over its management after leaving the university.
