Heinrich Böcler

Heinrich Böcler (born November 2, 1809 in Gelbensande , † December 10, 1874 in Schwerin ) was a German lawyer. He sat in the Frankfurt National Assembly.

Life

Böcler was born in Gelbensande in 1809 as the son of the chief forester Samuel Böcler. He studied law in Rostock from 1829 to 1832, which he completed with a doctorate in law, and joined the Corps Vandalia Rostock . Until 1848 he worked as a lawyer in Rostock, then in Schwerin. From 1850 he was administrator in the Domanialamt Schwerin. He later moved to the forest administration, where he held the title of chamber councilor until shortly before his death.

Böcler was elected to the Frankfurt National Assembly for the 3rd constituency (Schwerin) of the state of Mecklenburg-Schwerin , to which he belonged from May 18, 1848 to May 25, 1849. On June 17, 1848 he became a member of the Legislative Committee , on April 11, 1849 a member of the Implementation Committee for the Imperial Constitution . Initially active in the casino (parliamentary group) , he later moved to the Augsburger Hof parliamentary group , which represented moderate-liberal, small-German goals and was part of the left-wing center. He did not emerge as a speaker.
