Heinrich Barlage (clergyman)

Heinrich Barlage (born April 9, 1932 in Cologne ; † June 6, 2011 ibid) was a Cologne cathedral capitular and priest.

On February 24, 1958 in Cologne for priests ordained , he was in the same year Kaplan in Kettwig . Since 1961 he has been an assistant in the Cologne Vicariate General ; In 1965 he was head of the department of church law in the general vicariate and cathedral vicar. 1973 by Pope Paul VI. Appointed monsignor , Pope John Paul II elevated him to the papal house prelate in 1983 and Cardinal Joseph Höffner to the Cologne cathedral chapter in 1984 . In 1990, Cardinal Joachim Meisner appointed Barlage to the position of vice-official . After he resigned from his position as vice-official in 2000, he worked as a diocesan judge in the official office. In 2005 Barlage retired. He died after a long illness.

Barlage was a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Winfridia Cologne in KV .
