Heinrich Brauner

Heinrich Brauner (born November 21, 1928 in Vienna ; † June 1, 1990 ibid) was an Austrian mathematician .

Brauner studied physics and mathematics at the University of Vienna from 1946 . He wrote two dissertations: About (n + 1) -fold orthogonal systems of Riemannian hypersurfaces class 1 in Euclidean space in 1949 with Johann Radon and at the Technical University of Vienna Congruent displacement of collinear spaces in an axial position in 1952 with Walter Wunderlich . In 1960 he accepted a position at the University of Stuttgart and in 1969 he returned to the Technical University of Vienna.

In 1958 he received the promotion award of the Austrian Mathematical Society and in 1986 the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art, 1st class .
