Heinrich Curt Brückner

Heinrich Curt Brückner (born January 4, 1851 in Löbau , Kingdom of Saxony ; † December 9, 1922 there ) was a German pharmacist , deputy mayor of his hometown and royal Saxon court advisor . On December 29, 1921 he was made an honorary citizen of the city of Löbau.

Life

Brückner attended the first community school in his hometown and later the Annen Realschule in Dresden. After graduating from school, he completed an apprenticeship in the Marienapotheke on Dresden's Altmarkt from 1868 to 1871 , before he began studying in Leipzig in 1874, which he completed the following year. On January 1, 1877, he took over the family-owned pharmacy business in his hometown of Löbau.

In 1883 he became a member of the school committee there, engaged from 1885 to 1888 as a city councilor and from 1889 as a member of the city council . 1901 was Bruckner at the former Schulgraben Löbaus a villa for himself and his family build the Brücknersche Villa . In his role as a member of the city council, he was also deputy mayor of Löbau from 1909. On February 14, 1911 he founded the Curt Brückner Foundation , and in 1913 the pharmacist was appointed royal Saxon court advisor.

In honor Bruckner was in 1911 the Schulgraben on which he had his villa erected in Brückner ring renamed. Due to his services to the city of Löbau, u. a. When the power station and the Jäger barracks were built , Brückner was made an honorary citizen of Löbau on December 29, 1921. He died on December 9, 1922 in the city of his birth.
