Heinrich Ehehalt

Heinrich Ehehalt (born September 13, 1879 in Strasbourg , † July 5, 1938 in Karlsruhe ) was a German sculptor , medalist and graphic artist .

Marriage initially received training as an engraver and chaser in a gold goods factory in Pforzheim ; This was followed by a visit to the arts and crafts school , and he worked for half a year in the studio of Professor Rudolf Mayer. After his return he worked as a modeller or chaser in the gold goods industry based in Pforzheim. In 1901 he went to the Karlsruhe Art Academy and attended Ludwig Schmid-Reutte's drawing class for three years . He later returned to small-scale sculpture and ran his own studio. In 1920 he designed the state coat of arms and the official seal of the Republic of Baden, which were introduced on January 4, 1921.
