Heinrich Friedrich August (Fritz) Velte (born February 7, 1863 in Wehrheim , † September 14, 1940 in Wehrheim) was a German postal agent and politician ( DVP ).

Heinrich Friedrich Velte was the son of the first postmaster in Wehrheim , the innkeeper at the "Zum Taunus" inn, Fritz Velte. Fritz Felte had received the bid for a post office from the Ducal Nassau Oberpostamt in 1848 and, after the annexation of Nassau in 1866 , operated the post office as the second class post office of the Prussian post office.

At the turn of the century Heinrich Friedrich Velte took over the post office from his father. He moved the post office to his newly built house at Bahnhofstrasse 1.

Heinrich Friedrich Velte was politically active in the DVP after the First World War . From 1898 to the beginning of 1921 he belonged to the district council and later to the district committee of the Usingen district and was the community leader in Wehrheim. In 1920 he was a member of the Nassau municipal parliament as a representative of the Usingen district .
