Heinrich Goeckel

Heinrich Göckel (born April 15, 1883 in Dietzenbach ; † January 3, 1948 Langen ) was a Hessian politician ( NSDAP ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic and Mayor Langen during the Nazi era .

Family and work

Heinrich Göckel was the son of the farmer Georg Göckel and his wife Elisabeth, nee Knecht. He was married to Anna Katharina , nee Görich.

Heinrich Göckel was a farmer in Langen.

politics

Heinrich Göckel joined the NSDAP in 1931 and was a member of the state parliament from 1931 to 1933. From 1933 to 1934 he was initially acting, and from 1934 to 1945 he was regular mayor of Langen. From 1933 he was a district farmer leader.

After the Second World War , Heinrich Göckel was accused of participating in the persecution of political opponents in 1933 and the arson of the Reichspogromnacht as part of the arbitration chamber proceedings .
