Heinrich Göckenjan (born September 30, 1900 in Burgsteinfurt , † December 26, 1986 in Dortmund ) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Live and act

Göckenjan attended elementary school until 1915. He then worked in agriculture and attended the agricultural school in Welbergen in the Steinfurt district. From 1918 he took part in the First World War for a few months , during which he was deployed on the Western Front . After the war he earned his living as an independent farmer in Sellen near Burgsteinfurt.

From 1923 to 1925 Göckenjan belonged to the Völkisch-Soziale Block , a substitute organization of the NSDAP, which was banned at the time . He joined the NSDAP ( membership number 423.905) on January 1, 1931. In the Reichstag elections of July 1932 Göckenjan was a candidate of his party for the constituency 17 (Westphalia North) in the Reichstag voted, which he henceforth belonged in May 1945 without interruption until the end of Nazi rule. The most important parliamentary event in which Göckenjan was involved during his time as a member of parliament was the passing of the Enabling Act , which formed the legal basis for the establishment of the Nazi dictatorship and which was also passed with his vote.

During the time of National Socialism Göckenjan was Gauamtsleiter of the Office for Agricultural Policy of the Gaues Westfalen-Nord. In addition, he was in the main department II (Chamber of Agriculture) of the state farming community of Westphalia. Göckenjan was also a member of the Reichsbauernrat and was the head of the Association of Rural Cooperatives Westphalia and Lippe.

The SS (SS no. 276590) Göckenjan occurred May 14, 1936 at the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer in. Until March 1937 he was assigned to the Race and Settlement Main Office of the SS as an honorary leader, then SS Standarten in Münster and from June 1940 in Bochum.

In 1939 Göckenjan married Ilse Winkelmann, who came from a farming family in Dortmund-Oespel. Before 1943 he was a farmer who ran his in-laws' Winkelmannshof in Oespel .
