Heinrich Goelzer

Heinrich Gölzer (born January 3, 1868 in Kempten (Allgäu) , † January 29, 1942 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school and the advanced training school in Kempten, Gölzer learned the carpentry trade . He then traveled to large parts of Germany as a wandering craftsman and attended the trade school in Hamburg . Around 1890 he joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). In 1893 Gölzer established himself as an independent master carpenter in Kempten in the Allgäu. He ran his business until at least 1919.

In 1905 Gölzer became a member of the community college in Kempten. In 1912 he became a member of the Bavarian state parliament and member of the board of the local branch of the Social Democratic Party in Kempten. Later he became a founding member and board member of the purchasing and sales cooperative of the master joiner Kemptens GmbH

From 1918 to 1919 Gölzer was a member of the Provisional National Council of Bavaria.

From January 1919 to June 1920 Gölzer sat as a member of the SPD for constituency 24 (administrative districts of Upper Bavaria and Swabia) in the Weimar National Assembly .

In 1933 Gölzer was imprisoned.
