Heinrich Hake (* in the 15th century; † April 14, 1537 ) was cathedral dean in Münster .

Life

Heinrich Hake came from the Westphalian noble family Hake from the Paderborn region . He was the son of Johann Hake von Wulfsberg and Rauschenburg (Marshal of the Münster diocese), who came into possession of the Rauschenburg castle in 1470 . His mother was Adelheid Morrien . On April 7, 1498 Heinrich can be traced for the first time as a canon of Münster. He held the office of vicar in St. Katharina in Haltern until he resigned on August 26, 1499. On November 23, 1519 Heinrich was mentioned in a document as archdeacon for Stadtlohn. He was also the owner of the Hiddingsel obedience . After he was elected cathedral dean by the cathedral chapter , this choice was confirmed on February 22, 1521 by Bishop Erich von Sachsen-Lauenburg . The cathedral dean was in charge of the cathedral chapter. Heinrich left Münster during the Anabaptist period . In his will on April 12, 1537, he expressed the wish to be buried next to Sander Morrien in front of the St. Laurentii altar in the vicinity of the cathedral in Münster . Heinrich gave donations to various poor houses and his relatives. The cathedral chapter received an annual pension of 117 Rhenish gold guilders for memories . Heinrich had a son with his maid.

Heinrich gave each of the choir singers at the cathedral school half a pot of beer during Lent if they stayed in the choir until the Agnus Dei .
