Heinrich Hanholz

Heinrich Hanholz (born January 8, 1894 in Gerthe ; † November 5, 1983 in Bochum ) was district administrator of the Ennepe-Ruhr district .

Life

After graduating from high school and then doing military service , Heinrich Hanholz studied history and languages at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He obtained his doctorate in 1926 with a thesis on the role of the French in the Schleswig-Holstein question in 1863/1864. On March 20, 1933, he was entrusted with the deputy management of the Ennepe-Ruhr district administration, and was appointed provisional district administrator on April 10, 1933. From April 1, 1934, Hanholz was definitely district administrator and remained in this office until 1940. He switched to the Provinzial-Lebensversicherungsanstalt Westfalen , where he became managing director. After the war he worked as a tax advisor in Bochum.

Political activity

In 1920 Hanholz joined the Völkischer Schutz- und Trutzbund and was a member of the German People's Party from 1924 to 1931 . As early as January 6, 1933, he registered as a member of the NSDAP and in July 1933 became its district advisor for local politics and a supporting member of the SS . Hanholz was a member of the Gerthe official and community council from 1924 to 1929.
