Heinrich Henne (engineer)

Heinrich Henne (born January 28, 1865 in Dresden , † April 26, 1945 in Munich ) was a German fire protection technician and university professor.

In 1909 the TH Aachen appointed him lecturer for the newly created subject of fire insurance technology; later the professorship was awarded and a specially created chair was established .

In 1921 he was appointed director of the German Fire Insurance Association in Berlin.

Henne published numerous works on fire protection. One of his students was Franz Hepp .

In 1935, Henne was awarded a Dr. Ing. E. h. appointed by RWTH Aachen. In 1962, the Association for the Promotion of German Fire Protection e. V. the Heinrich Henne Medal in his honor .
