Franz Hepp

Carl Ludwig Franz Hepp (born September 12, 1878 in Karlsruhe , † 1956 in Stuttgart ) was a German manager and general director .

Life and work

Hepp attended the Reuchlin-Gymnasium in Pforzheim and made his Abitur there. This was followed by a practical activity at the Grand Ducal Main Workshops in Karlsruhe and studying at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and the Technical University of Hanover . During his studies he became a member of the Karlsruhe fraternity in Teutonia in 1898 . Hepp was then an engineer at Augsburg-Nürnberger Maschinenfabrik AG and at Aachen-Münchener Feuerversicherungs-AG.

From 1914 to 1918 he was a lieutenant and finally a battery leader in the field.

From 1921 he was a lecturer at the Technical University of Aachen for fire insurance engineering. One of his teachers had previously been the fire protection scientist Heinrich Henne . Since 1922, Hepp was director and board member of Württemberg fire insurance . In 1939 he was appointed general manager.

Private

Hepp was married from 1909 until the divorce in 1926 and had two children.
