Heinrich Hoff

Heinrich Hoff (born December 11, 1914 in Deckbergen , † April 4, 1976 in Hanover ) was a German local politician ( SPD ).

Career

Hoff was a foreman by trade. His political career began in 1952 as a council member in Ahlem . There he was elected mayor in 1958 and remained in office until the town was incorporated in 1974 as part of the local reorganization of Lower Saxony. After that he was local mayor until his death and from 9 June 1974 a member of the SPD parliamentary group in the city council of Hanover.

On October 8, 1973 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. Two years after his death, Heinrich-Heine-Strasse in Ahlem was renamed after him.
