Heinrich Löffler (born August 14, 1879 in Ilbeshausen ; † December 30, 1949 in Schlüchtern ) was a German SPD politician .

Life

He was the son of the farmer and miller Heinrich Löffler XV. and his wife Elisabeth geb. Small. After attending elementary school in Ilbeshausen and doing an apprenticeship, Löffler worked as a miner (Hauer) in Gelsenkirchen in the Ruhr area from 1897 to 1905. He then worked for the Association of Miners in Germany , to which he had been a member since 1898. Löffler had been a member of the SPD since 1901. From 1911 to 1919 he was the main board member of the Association of Miners in Germany and from 1913 headed the union in Upper Silesia.

Löffler was elected to the Katowice City Council in 1918 . In 1919/20 he was a member of the Weimar National Assembly . He was then a member of the Reichstag until the Upper Silesian mandate expired in December 1922 .

From 1919 to 1920 Löffler was a board member of the General German Trade Union Federation (ADGB) Berlin and from 1920 to 1933 of the Reich Coal Association in Berlin. He was also a member of the Imperial Coal Council . In 1933 he lost his functions in the coal industry and became an innkeeper in Berlin-Tempelhof. Löffler lived in Schlüchtern / Hessen from 1947 and was politically active for the SPD until his death. In 1948 Löffler became a deputy member of the district committee in Schlüchtern.
