Heinrich Lampe (born January 23, 1746 in Bremen ; † December 18, 1817 in Bremen) was a lawyer and senator and mayor of the city of Bremen.

biography

Lampe was the son of Professor Heinrich Lampe (1713–1750) and the professor's daughter Adelheid geb. Hook. He was married to the senator's daughter Hermanna Dwerhagen; they had three children together. Senator Heinrich Lampe (1773-1825) was his son.

From 1762 he graduated from the Illustre grammar school in Bremen . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Frankfurt an der Oder from 1766 and received his doctorate in 1770. jur. at the University of Göttingen . In 1770 he became professor of law at the Illustre grammar school in Bremen.

In 1781 he became a senator in Bremen . From 1792 he was also a judge in Bremen. From August 26, 1803 to December 15, 1817 he was mayor of Bremen and left his office three days before his death. Lampe was one of the important school reformers in Bremen. He was a founding member of the board of the recovery society founded in 1803 , a reading society at Ansgarikirchhof . He belonged to the Lodge at the Olive Branch .
