Heinrich Meier (politician, 1898)

Heinrich Meier (born May 2, 1898 in Nuremberg ; † August 29, 1972 in Georgensgmünd , Middle Franconia) was a German businessman and administrative clerk, as a politician of the CSU he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament .

Heinrich Meier came from a Franconian family of farmers , his ancestors came from the area around Geilsheim and could be traced back to the year 1370. He attended elementary and secondary school, then the commercial college and worked as a director's assistant, sales manager and authorized signatory in wholesale and industry in Nuremberg, Hanover and Mannheim. Residing in Georgensgmünd, he joined the municipal administration in 1945, became a district councilor and since then has also been active in the CSU.He was one of the founders of the Schwabach district association and was later the first district chairman of the Schwabach-Land CSU district association.

In Schwabach he was a member of the district committee and chairman of the district council. He became deputy district administrator for Georgensgmünd and was a member of the Middle Franconia district assembly .

As an elected member of the Middle Franconia constituency , he was in the third electoral term from November 28, 1954 to November 23, 1958 and from October 9, 1961 to November 25, 1962 as a successor for the fourth electoral term because of his Georg Ehnes, who had left the Bundestag, was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament, but he decided not to be re-elected.

In the third electoral term he belonged from January 13, 1955 to the committee for the electoral examination and the committee for border questions (each until April 1, 1957) and the committee for social affairs. In the fourth electoral term he was first from October 11, 1961 to November 21, 1961 in the Committee on Food and Agriculture, then from November 21, 1961 in the Committee on Social and Health Policy and from November 26, 1961 in the Committee on Affairs expellees and victims of war, active until the end of the legislative period. In addition, he was a member of the interim committee in the fourth term.
