Heinrich Miller
Heinrich Miller (* 1944 in Innsbruck , often abbreviated as Heinz Miller ) is an Austrian polar explorer . He is the deputy director of the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) in Bremerhaven . Here he holds a Helmholtz professorship for glaciology .
In 1971, he presented his dissertation under the title Investigations on the Guslar and Vernagtferner in the Ötztal Alps using the refraction seismic method and a four-point method of geoelectrics to the Faculty of Geosciences at the University of Munich . In 2015 he was elected as a corresponding member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences .
