Heinrich Nüsser

Heinrich Nüsser , also Heinrich Nuesser (* 1821 in Düsseldorf ; † July 1883 there ), was a German draftsman and copperplate engraver from the Düsseldorf School of Painting .

Nüsser studied from 1837 to 1850 as a member of the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There were Josef Winter Gerst , Rudolf Wiegmann and especially the engraver Joseph Keller 's teacher.

Under von Keller's guidance, engravings were created for the Gospel work by Johann Friedrich Overbeck , of which, for example, The Scourging of Jesus or Jesus, bound to the high priest, became known. Another work is the engraving after Rudolf Jordan, The Happy Age , which he carried out on behalf of the Kunstverein for the Rhineland and Westphalia . He is also familiar with the Engel santchen engraving after Theodor Mintrop and a sheet from 1870 Christian Martyrs , which he also executed for the Kunstverein after Albert Baur . After Karl Ballenberger he made an engraving Death of St. Meinrad . Nüsser also provided templates for the Association for the Dissemination of Religious Images . His small-format stitches were distinguished by the great delicacy of the stroke.

Heinrich Nüsser was a member of the Düsseldorf artist association Malkasten . He died in Düsseldorf in 1883.
