Heinrich Reinhold (born September 24, 1862 in Barmen (now part of Wuppertal ); † January 2, 1927 in Hanover ) was a German physician, secret medical adviser , professor, first director of the city hospital I ("Städtisches Krankenhaus Nordstadt", today: KRH Klinikum Nordstadt ) and its first chief physician.

Life

Heinrich Reinhold studied in particular under Professor Christian Baeumler at the medical clinic in Freiburg im Breisgau and did his doctorate there on the subject of pathological-anatomical investigations into the knowledge of tumors of the pineal gland . At the medical clinic there, he initially worked as an assistant doctor, then as an assistant and finally as a private lecturer.

In 1894 Reinhold was appointed professor and in 1895 - the year the City Hospital I opened in Hanover - senior physician in the internal department there .

Heinrich Reinhold dealt in particular with the liver abscess , bulbar paralysis and the theory of miliary tuberculosis .

In 1928, the year after the Secret Medical Council's death, the sculptor August Waterbeck created a bust of Reinhold, which is now on the grounds of the Nordstadt municipal hospital.
